    Estradiol / dydrogesterone (E2/DYD), sold under the brand name Femoston among others, is a combination of estradiol (E2), an estrogen, and dydrogesterone (DYD), a progestin, which is used in menopausal hormone therapy, specifically to treat and prevent hot flashes and osteoporosis, in postmenopausal women

    Indications for 1/10 mg:

    • Sequential combined is indicated for Oestrogen deficiency in postmenopausal women 6 months or more after last menstruation

    Indications for 1/5 mg:

    • Indicated for oestrogen deficiency symptoms in postmenopausal women 12 months or more after last menstruation

    Known, past or suspected breast cancer, known or suspected oestrogen-dependent malignant tumours, known or suspected progestogen-dependent neoplasms, undiagnosed genital bleeding, untreated endometrial hyperplasia, venous thromboembolism, known thrombophilic disorders, arterial thromboembolic disease, acute liver disease or a history of liver disease, porphyria, known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.

    The most common side effects of using Estradiol+Dydrogesterone are headache, abdominal pain, back pain, tender or painful breasts, and vaginal discharge. Most of these symptoms are temporary.

    Pregnancy, Lactation and Fertility: Not recommended. If pregnancy occurs withdraw treatment immediately.
