    Pholcodine / Citric Acid is used for Cough, Treatment of urinary bladder calculi, Anticoagulation, Metabolic acidosis and other conditions

    Pholcodine / Citric Acid is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

    The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur in medicines that contain Pholcodine / Citric Acid. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious.     • Severe difficulty in breathing
    • Confusion
    • Urge to vomit
    • Skin rashes
    • Inability to cough out mucus
    • Severe allergic reactions
    • Dizziness
    • Excitation
    • Abdominal pain
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath
    • Sore throat
    • Redness
    Before using Pholcodine / Citric Acid, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert.     • Avoid consumption of alcohol
    • Breastfeeding
    • Do not drive or operate heavy machinery
    • Pregnant
    • Take caution if you have low urine output, abnormal renal function, cardiac failure or hypertension
    • Take caution if you have peripheral or pulmonary edema
    • Take it by diluting with water
    • Take this drug after meals
