    Yes. While all oral forms of aminophylline have been discontinued, the injection form of aminophylline that’s given through the vein is still available.

    Ampicillin / Cloxacillin is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections of the nose, ear, throat, airways, lungs and bone. It works by stopping the growth of infection-causing bacteria. 

    Ampicillin/Cloxacillin is used to treat certain infections including, respiratory infections such as pneumonia with inflammation in the bronchi and worsen severe inflammation of the bronchial tubes lining.

    It is also used to treat problems during childbirth such as fever caused by a uterine infection during delivery.

    Ampicillin+Cloxacillin may also treat other infections such as blood and bone infections, ear, nose and throat infections.

    This medicine contains ampicillin and cloxacillin, both damage the bacteria by acting on the bacterial cell wall formation.

    Ampicillin+Cloxacillin is also used to prevent & treat bacterial infections in the premature or newborn child, and to treat wound and respiratory system infections after an operation.

    Ampicillin+Cloxacillin should not use in patients with a history of allergy to beta-lactam antibiotics such as cephalosporins, penicillins or any other ingredient of the medicine. Patients using Ampicillin+Cloxacillin may get suffer from allergic reactions.
    Ampicillin+Cloxacillin should not be used for eyes.
    • Nervous system disorders
      Symptoms: convulsions
    • Liver disorders
      Symptoms: hepatitis jaundice with a decreased flow of bile (cholestatic jaundice)
    • Skin disorders
      Symptoms: skin rash, severe allergic reactions (erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome) drug-induced severe allergic reaction
      If this happens, stop using this medicine.
    • Blood disorders
      Symptoms: anemia due to the breakdown of red blood cells, low white blood cell count, low platelet level low neutrophil cell count
    • Stomach and intestinal disorders
    • diarrhea
    • hives
    • nausea
    • severe skin itching
    • skin rash
    • jaundice
    • involuntary jerking of the muscle
    • moderate and temporary increase in enzymes (transaminases)
    • purple discolored spots on the skin
    • You have a history of allergy to beta-lactam antibiotics like penicillins and cephalosporins.
    • You experience allergic reactions and skin rashes after taking this medicine.
    • You have kidney problems.

    There is limited information about the effect of Ampicillin / Cloxacillin capsule during pregnancy. Ampicillin / Cloxacillin capsule should only be used in pregnant women if recommended by the doctor

    No information is available if Ampicillin / Cloxacillin capsule passes into human breast milk. Ampicillin / Cloxacillin capsule should only be used in breastfeeding women if recommended by the doctor.

    Adult
    • Recommended: 1000-2000 mg every 6 hours orally or 500-1000 mg injection into the muscle every 4-6 hours
    Children (aged 2-12 years)
    • Recommended: 5-10 ml suspension every 6 hours orally or 250 mg injection every 8 hours
    Children (newborns upto 2 years)
    • Recommended: 0.6 ml (90 mg) suspension 0.5-1 hour before feeding after every 4 hours
