Description
Amodiaquine is an antimalarial medication used to treat acute malarial attacks characterized by symptoms such as chills, fever, and sweating. This medicine can be used alone or in combination with other antimalarial agents. It is not recommended for use in the prevention of malaria.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver impairment since it may worsen the patient’s condition.

Warnings
It should be used with caution in patients allergic to peanuts, not to be used on broken, infectious skin. It should be used with caution in blockage of the gut (intestinal obstruction).
